Jean received her BA in Religion and Sociology from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota in 1978; her Master of Divinity from Luther-Northwestern Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1983 and a Post Graduate Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Samaritan Center, Seattle, Washington in 1986.
