Pam is co-pastor at Edina Community Lutheran Church in Edina Minnesota, where she had served since 2002. Prior to that she spent 5 years developing a mission to young adults in Minneapolis known as Spirit Garage: The Church with the Really Big Door. In addition to pastoring Pam has enjoyed opportunities over the past 8 years to teach in the larger church about emerging culture and to write for Augsburg Fortress on a variety of projects. At Edina Community she has been proud to be part of legally challenging – and overturning – a new handgun law that was passed in 2003.

Pam grew up in the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod as a pastor’s kid in northern California’s Central Valley. Since high school, she has lived in Indiana, Washington DC, Tennessee, New Jersey, the San Francisco Bay Area and, finally, Minnesota.

Pam says landing in Minnesota has been one of the great surprises of her life, but she loves living in a lively urban area with 4 distinct seasons and can’t imagine living further south again. Thanks to Will she has learned a lot in 8 years about the flora and fauna of their home and valuing the importance of getting out of your head once in a while. Pam and Will live in Minneapolis with their children.
