Zimmerle, Jessica and Maddie Smith

Jessica has been on staff with Earth Ministry since 2013 and became the Program and Outreach Director in 2017. She supports Earth Ministry’s members through their Greening Congregations and Colleague Connection programs and organizes the religious community in faithful advocacy campaigns on climate change, fossil fuels, chemical safety, salmon recovery, and more.
Jessica is in seminary at Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry and she is a candidate for ordination as a Deaconess in the ELCA. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Studies with minors in Religion, Biology, and French from Pacific Lutheran University. When not teaching adult education workshops on Sundays for Earth Ministry, Jessica is an active member of Ballard First Lutheran Church.
Maddie joined Earth Ministries in 2019 as the Operations and Development Manager. She previously worked at Interfaith Power and Light in Washington DC.
