I am married to Lori and have three children – Josh, Anna, and Lydia. The other two members are Shih-Tzu, 'Mocha' and rat, 'Pippo'. We have lived in Owatonna for over 12 years now. We live in a one hundred year old prairie style home which we work on constantly! I play guitar, bass and drums in a band called, 'The Gogs'. I am the Senior Pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Owatonna, Minnesota. Owatonna is a small town of 25,000 people. Our Savior's is a congregation of almost 1000 members and this makes it the little sister to two much larger ELCA congregations in Owatonna! I am also an adjunct instructor at Riverland Community College in the three cities of Owatonna, Albert Lea and Austin. I teach a class on World Religions and a class on The Philosophy of Social Justice. The most interesting thing about my classes is that I teach them in the Steele County Jail for a combined class of both 'inside' incarcerated students and 'outside' college students. We come together in the jail and learn together on a community learning model that is based on the Inside-Out model from Temple University. It is an awesome setting in which to teach!
