Streng, William

Bill was professor of Christian Education at Wartburg Theological Seminary from 1951 to 1979, serving several years as dean of students and later as dean of faculty. He was also an adviser on the Board of Parish Education for the American Lutheran Church and a member of the Commission of Education for the American Association of Theological Schools. He served on the Lutheran World Federation Assignment to Europe. Two years later, his assignment took him to South America and Africa. A prolific author, Streng wrote many books including "Be Alive" at the request of the American Lutheran Church to be used as a resource and study guide in congregational renewal.
