Joseph is Emeritus Professor of Pathology in the School of Medicine, University of Washington. Part of his graduate training and scientific research has been in the fields of evolutionary biology and physical anthropology. As a life-long Christian, he has a deep interest in the interplay of religion and evolution.
Joseph received his Bachelor of Arts from University of Pittsburgh, College of Arts and Sciences; a Master of Science from University of Pittsburgh, School of Health Related Professions; a Master of Arts from University of Washington, Department of Physical Anthropology Sciences; and his PhD from University of Washington, Department of Physical Anthropology.
