Heidi Schramm, of the Christian Peacemaker Teams and the American Association for Palestinian Equal Rights, shares stories from At-Tuwani, a small village in the Palestinian West Bank, which has chosen a different path in the pursuit of the most basic of human rights. She has traveled to the region five times since 2005, residing in the West Bank consistently from the spring of 2006 through the spring of 2007. Following that year, she served as Government Relations and Research Associate for the American Association for Palestinian Equal Rights, a Washington, DC based organization that lobbies for an equitable U.S. foreign policy toward Palestine. Heidi holds a Bachelors of Arts in Religious Studies and History from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and a Masters of Arts in Ethics, Peace Studies and Global Affairs from the American University in Washington, DC.
