Franz is a pastor of the ELCA serving Messiah Lutheran Church in Weatherford, TX. He attended Luther College in Decorah, IA, graduating in 1980. His four grown children are divided between Texas and New Jersey. This summer he rode the 500 mile RAGBRAI for the fourth time. Off the bike he fixes up the 100 year old house with lovely spouse, Ann Hafften, or hangs out with 2 year granddaughter, Evelyn.
