Dorothy graduated from Augustana College, Sious Falls and University of Iowa. She taught elementary and learning disability classes and worked as Learning Ministries Facilitator for Region 3 and as office staff for Southeast Minnesota Synod of the ELCA. Dorothy served on the Holden Board for 12 years.
