Web Prieb played an important part in the acquisition of Holden Village from Howe Sound Mining Company. He is well beloved not only for his foresight as to what the Village could be one day but also for his humor.
Philip Brunelle brought his musical talent to the village. He and Beany Lundholm created many of the arrangement of songs in the Beany Sings songbooks. He also provided hilarious background music for village skits and hilarity. He taught many years as Organist-Choirmaster at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis and also as Music Director and Founder of VocalEssence, one of the biggest community choral programs in the USA. He was on the board of the International Federation of Choral Music, the board of Chorus America, and served 12 years as a Regent at St. Olaf College. He appeared on the first broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion and has remained in touch with Garrison Keillor ever since.
