Cecilia holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Victoria and a master’s degree in archaeology from the University of Calgary. She worked on the central coast of BC on archaeological projects that made it a priority to collaborate with indigenous nations and work within their frameworks. For her Masters degree her research focused on working with an indigenous nation, this time the Inuit of northern Hudson Bay who wished to reach beyond their remote Arctic location to tell their youth and all the world about their impressive history. Cecilia has travelled extensively to Africa, South America, Greenland and tiny indigenous villages in the Canadian Arctic and northwest coast expanding her worldview.
