Metzler, Norman

Norman was born and raised in Springfield, MA, a first generation American with German immigrant parents. He attended various Concordias, earned his Master’s in Sacred Theology at Yale and his doctorate in theology with Prof. Wolfhart Pannenberg in Munich, Germany. He has served in campus ministry in Kearney, NE, and the University of Oregon in Eugene, was a parish pastor in Eugene for a dozen years, and has been in the teaching ministry as Prof. Of Theology at Concordia, Portland, OR. Norman is married to his childhood sweetheart Mary, and they have two sons.
