Duane is a Lutheran pastor, currently serving as president of a seminary. He loves to read, teach and write theology; play guitar and sing. He is also deeply influenced by Shusako Endo’s “Silence,”. Duane grew up in Southern California, really did attend “Ridgemont High” with its fast times, and takes seriously the notion that Christian dis-unity causes and excuses the practical atheism of popular culture.
