Jody received his BA from Princeton University, magna cum laude, where he served as the Editor of the Daily Princetonian newspaper. He received a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in sociology and urban affairs from Northwestern University.
Jody taught at Northwestern University, and directed the Asset Based Community Development Institute. His community development work and research influenced approaches throughout the U.S. and on five other continents.
