Jeannie attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She worked at Holden Village in the village school, working with elementary students. A few years later she and her husband, Dane Johnson, ran the Holden Bed and Breakfast as well as Fields Point Landing. Since that time she has been teaching in the Chelan, Washington area.
