Wes earned his AB from the University of California at Berkeley; his JD from Hastings College of the Law and his M.Div from the Institute for Theological Studies, Seattle University.
He has written numerous articles and several books.
He has been teaching and writing on the Bible since 1988. He tells us "I come to Holden with my wife and metochos (ask!), Sue Ferguson Johnson, with whom I am honored to minister through Abide in Me in the Seattle area. I love teaching undergrads at Seattle University, getting them before they are too hooked into "the matrix." We also love working with older folks, too, whom we walk with weekly in the Gospel of John, now into our eighth year. We live on the edge of the "Issaquah Alps," where I walk with my 12-year old golden retriever each day. Between us, we have five adult children and two grandchildren, with whom we are privileged to share the journey of life."
