The Reverend Peter M. Holmer is a third generation Lutheran pastor. He has a passion for parish ministry , serving as Senior Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church Joliet, Illinois for the past 21 years. He majored in English at Augustana College (Ill), was captain of Augies Track Team and received his MDiv from Yale Divinity School. Peter enjoys reading, creative writing, composing music, canoeing and camping. Peter first experience as a member of Summer Teaching Staff was in 1995. He is grateful for the opportunity to return to lead Bible study at Holden for the fourth time. He treasures holy hilarity, loves Holden Vespers, especially Prayer around the Cross, and can often be found gazing at Copper Mountain from the Ark. Peter’s spouse Linda Holmer accompanies him this week.
