Steve is an Associate Professor of Economics at Luther College where he teaches a wide range of courses at the intersection of economics and public policy, including Law & Economics, Environmental Economics, Development Economics, and J-Term courses in faraway places such as Vietnam and Holden Village. His research often examines how people come together to solve the problems left unsolved by economic and legal institutions, and he has a special interest in the economics of the food system. Steve has a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, a law degree from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College.
