Allen Hilton is the Senior Minister at Plymouth Church, United Church of Christ, in downtown Seattle. He enjoys helping Christians to build bridges between one another theologically, racially, economically, and generationally. He also enjoys reintroducing the Bible into the lives of progressive Christians who had come to believe that they didn’t like that book. His greatest joy is his family: wife and partner Liz, and sons Sam and Isaac. In a former life, Allen was a professor of New Testament, first at Saint Mary’s College of California and then at Yale Divinity School. Allen is a graduate of George Fox College (Bachelor of Arts, 1985), Princeton Seminary (M.Div., 1989), and Yale University (Ph.D., 1997).
