Thom and his wife Diane are executive producers of the documentary film, "Gold Fever" that exposes unfair mining practices in Guatemala.
Thom is an honors graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and the University of Minnesota. He has a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
Thom is a member of the board of G Project, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness of poverty, injustice, environmental degradation and repression in Guatemala and to promote human rights and free democratic expression by producing documentary films. He also serves on the Wider Church Ministries Board of the United Church of Christ and is president of the Mayflower Church Foundation in Minneapolis.
Thom continues to work part-time as a senior attorney in the Civil Division, Carver County, Minnesota.
