Gerhard Frost was a gifted poet, author, Lutheran theologian and theology professor at Luther Northwestern Seminary. He taught at the St. Paul seminary, formerly known as Luther Theological Seminary, from 1956 until retiring in 1977. He graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and Luther Theological Seminary. He earned a master of divinity degree at Princeton Theological Seminary and also studied at the University of Chicago and Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
