For the past nine years Renee has lived and worked in Haiti for the St. Joseph Family of Children's Homes. Prior to moving to Haiti in 2002, she worked for 11 years as a photojournalist, working at newspapers in Iowa and Minnesota. She has published two books featuring her photographs from Haiti, Behind the Mountains, and "Pray the Beauty All Around".
