Barb retired from Eastern Washington University in 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science from Graceland College, her Masters from the University of Iowa and her EdD from Indiana University.
Barb spent many years studying the time people spend in front of screens, television and computer, and wrote "Living Outside the Box" discussing her findings.
