Gus is a University of Idaho educated Forester and Wildlife Biologist. He grew up in Colombia, South America. Shortly after graduating from college he joined the Peace Corps and served two years in Ecuador, South American working as an extension forester. Gus is an avid back-country skier, kayaker, rock climber, rafter, and snowshoer. He founded of El Sendero, a back-country ski and snowshoe club based in Wenatchee, WA. Gus also serves on the boards of many environmental and conservation organizations.
