Trudy graduated Valedictorian from Northfield High school and entered St. Olaf College. She majored in Music and English and was also a member of the St. Olaf Choir where she met her future husband, Waldemar “Bror” Anderson. After college she taught piano and voice at Berea College in Kentucky and at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. They moved to Cottonwood, Minn., where she was the choir director at Christ Lutheran Church and taught piano and voice for many years.
