Mary Emily received her BA from Seattle University in Philosophy and English; her M.Div from Yale Divinity School; and her PhD in Theology from The University of Chicago Divinity School. She is Assistant Professor of Theology, Theology Department and University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, University of Dubuque in Iowa.

Joyce is a freelance writer and pastor serving causes for justice and undocumented women in the mountains of western North Carolina.
