Roetzel, Calvin

Calvin is a Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Minnesota. His areas of scholarly interest include New Testament studies, particularly the Pauline texts. His scholarship also deals with Paul’s reception as a figure of authority in the early Church, and related questions that can be asked of Paul’s Jewish contemporaries, Philo and Josephus. He received his B.A. from Hendrix College, his B.D. from Perkins School of Theology, SMU and his Ph.D in Biblical Studies from Duke University.
