Rickert, Kathryn

Kathryn Rickert, a scholar, teacher, musician, artist, cook, and tender of the woods, is a recent (2009) Ph.D. recipient — "Talking Back to God: Some Implications of Narrative Biblical Laments for Human-Divine Relations and Christian Worship". She is chair and member of the First Nations Committee, Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, since 1989. Currently she is part of a national project of the Episcopal Church “Exposing the Doctrine of Discovery: A Call to Healing and Hope.” The movie "Bambi” – If you can’t say something nice… had a significant impact on her doctoral dissertation. She lives in Shoreline, WA with her husband Gary Rickert.
