Pam and her husband Rob have been coming to Holden since 1986. Their two children have grown up with Holden as a regular part of their lives. Pam was born in New Mexico, grew up in Texas, married a Canadian, and teaches in the department of creative writing at the University of Victoria. In addition to riding herd on a menagerie of rescued horses, dogs, cats, and one rabbit, she is the author of two novels, two books of poetry, and a picture book. While at Holden, Pam especially enjoys playing guitar in worship, singing in the choir, eating ice cream, and of course, hiking.
