I grew up in Roseville, MN, and I have been coming to Holden Village since I was a little kid. After graduating from St. Olaf College in 2007, I spent a year in India studying Conflict Transformation, Peace Building, and Interfaith Relations. My research focused on fundamentalist Hindu nationalist groups and violence against Muslim communities, particularly in the state of Gujarat. I returned to India again in 2009 to study Hindu-Christian relations following an intense period of violence in the eastern state of Orissa. I am pursuing a M.Div. at the University of Chicago Divinity School, and I was the intern at Augustana Lutheran Church in Hyde Park. Eventually, I hope to get my Ph.D. in theology. In my free time, I enjoy music, theater, and being at Holden Village!
