Heidi grew up in the Mennonite community in Eastern Pennsylvania. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div., 1994) and from the University of Chicago Divinity School with a Ph.D. in Religious Ethics (2005). Heidi is now on the faculty at Hartford Seminary, a United Church of Christ seminary in Hartford, Connecticut, and is an active lay member of Immanuel Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. She is married to Kelton Cobb and they have two boys, Henry and William. Heidi has enjoyed backpacking in the Pacific Northwest since college, and is thrilled to participate in the Holden Village Summer program.
