DeAne teaches religion and American studies at St. Olaf College. She helped lead St. Olaf’s Global Semester traveling the world with 28 students along with her husband Wrick and son Thomas.
Wrick was the curator of Holden’s Portal Museum for many years, where he helped people learn about fishing and the human and natural history of the valley. When Wrick is not at Holden Village, he lives in Northfield, MN and teaches Geology and Geography at Normandale Community College.
