Mildred spent her life bringing people together through understanding their common goals. She worked with Mandala United Ministries at A Church of all God's People Greenwood Mississippi, and authored or edited a number of works including "Soul Songs: Prophetic Visions of Faith and Imagination – African American Wisdom for a World in Crisis".
