Call, Wendy

Wendy is a writer, editor, translator and teacher living in Seattle. She holds a BA in biology from Oberlin College and a MFA in writing and literature from the Bennington College Writing Seminars. She co-edited an anthology called "Telling True Stories: A Nonfiction Writes Guide". Her book "No Word For Welcome: The Mexican Village Faces the Global Economy" was published last year and won Grub Street's 2011 National Book Prize for Nonfiction and the 2012 International Book Award for Best History / Political Book. She currently (2012) is spending lots of time in national parks and writing about them.
