Bowie, Bonnie

Bonnie Bowie coordinates the Community/Public Health Nursing Master's Program and is the Chair of the Community Psychosocial Department in the College of Nursing at Seattle University. She works with vulnerable populations through Odessa Brown Children's Clinic, Seattle Indian Health Board clinic, International District Clinic and the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club. Currently, Dr. Bowie is leading a group of six interdisciplinary faculty members in partnership with Yesler Terrace Neighborhood House Head Start staff and families to plan programs for the Head Start families and their children. In addition, she is the Principle Investigator for a community based project in Lake City, WA, partnering with the Mennonite Church and other local agencies to provide respite care for the homeless population in that area. Bonnie first came to Holden Village in high school and has enjoyed bringing her husband and two children to the village annually for the past 15 years. She has a love for Holden as a community, ministry and for spiritual renewal.
