Kristen is an Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Science at North Dakota State University. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and Certified Family Life Educator. Her research and clinical focus is on providing inclusive and supportive therapy to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) people and relationships. Her current research explores the experiences of parents raising transgender and gender creative children.
