VanQuickenborne, Mike

Mike VanQuickenborne is a tenured philosophy instructor at Everett Community College. Along with a slate of standard introductory philosophy courses, he has been teaching a course of his own design called “Philosophy in the Cinema” since 2000. In 2008 with the help of a grant from Humanities Washington, he organized the world’s first philosophical film festival, “Philosophy in the Dark”. He lives with his wife Julie and two daughters in Anacortes, Washington. When he has a bit of free time he can usually be found on his mountain bike in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands.
