Niedner, Fred

Frederick Niedner retired from teaching biblical studies and Hebrew language in Valparaiso University's Theology Department. He is co-author of Keeping the Faith: A Guide to the Christian Message and New Proclamation for Lent 2005. He is active in the ministry of Valpo's Chapel of the Resurrection, contributes regularly to publications that offer text studies and other resources for preaching in the church, and writes a fortnightly column on matters religious for the NW Indiana Post-Tribune. Fred's other roles in life include husband (to Barbara, a Valpo Social Work prof), dad, jogger, novel-junkie, and banjo-picker. In his spare time he reads novels, bicycles, and jogs. Born in the mountains of Wyoming but exiled for much of his life in the flatlands of Indiana, he truly relaxes at Holden, where it is plain to see what holds up the sky.
