Ron has served as a pastor at University Lutheran Church in Seattle for 12 years. Prior to this call, he served as a pastor at Luther Place Memorial Church in Washington DC. In both settings, he has been very involved in a ministry with homeless women. Based upon this experience and additional research, Ron has authored a manuscript entitled, “The Mystery of Adam and Eve: A Prophetic Critique of the Monarchy.” Looking at this story through an historical, socio-political and metaphorical lens, Ron offers a new interpretation that challenges many traditional interpretations of this story. Ron teaches as he preaches—by offering a thought-provoking perspective on the good news of God’s reign and emphasizing our call to justice and peace in all the earth.
