Mary Hinderlie came to Holden Village with her husband, Carroll, Director, in 1963. As a theologian and program director in the village for most of the 60s and 70s, Mary helped shape the dynamic early years of the village by building community through dialogue and welcoming all. She brought her love of literature to the sessions she taught.

Mary passed away in 2003.
